Day 2/3 Challenege

Okay...so I'm already late on my 30 day challenege! UGH! I was thinking about it all day yesterday and was really trying to think of my favorite movie, but there seem to be so many. I really enjoy The Hangover, The Notebook, and Christmas Vacation. I would probably say National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is probably my favorite movie - my family always watches it during the holiday season and it's such a good, funny movie that we've been watching for as long as I can remember. So, because of the memories, I'm going to go with Clark Griswold. :)

So for today's challenege, the question is "What is your favorite television show". This question is MUCH easier for me! My brand-new all time favorite show has to be....GLEE!

I really, really love Glee. I love the songs and the singing and the plot/story line. The characters are extremely talented, as well as funny (Sue!) and it is just an all-around great show.

I also love Californication, Dexter, Jersey Shore, and Modern Family. I never miss any of those shows and since we don't have a DVR I have to stay home during the week so I can catch all my shows! Haha.

One other thing...Andy and Laura came home this weekend and Kayden is getting so big...look at this smile:

Blog Challenge, Weddings, and More!

I'm taking the "blog a day challenege" that I stole from Laura so that I can challenge myself to write everyday. (You can check out the question everyday on the left hand side at the bottom and you can take the challenge too if you want!) Not a lot of people probably read my blog (or stalk it?), but I figured those who do might enjoy/get a kick out of it. So while I have some catching up to do, like Nichole's wedding and what not, I figured that I'll add that in to my post today.

Friday night was homecoming. We got to play some Raider Relays with the junior high and it was a lot of fun! They seemed to have a blast and they all had some great school spirit - it was a good day. Friday night was Nichole's rehersal dinner so I went to that then Steph and I showed up at the homecoming game about half time. Going into this game we knew that we'd have to play really well in order to play - Roland Story is always a REALLY good team (I think I heard ranked 4th in 2A?). So when I showed up it was 7-6. We then proceeded to score a touchdown and the score was 14-6. They scored again, bringing the score to 14-12 with like 1 minute left. They went for the two points and missed it! It was so, so intense! Roland Story then did an onside kick and got the ball back, with about 20 seconds left. They then threw a hail mary and who would intercept the pass....MY BROTHER! He did so awesome - I was so proud of him! We then ended up winning 14-12 and it was just a great way to end the first ever combined CMB homecoming. So much fun, made me remember why we love Friday night football so much. :)

Then Saturday Nichole's big weekend! Her and Joe got married on Saturday and I got to be a bridesmaid. It was such a fun night and a beautiful wedding - she looked absolutely gorgeous! I'll add pictures when I get home because I'm at work now and it's hard to load all the pictures on this old dinosaur. But here's one of all the bridesmaids and Nichole and then one of Nichole and me at the reception.

So that was my weekend in a nutshell, so that brings me to my first blog challenge - what's your favorite song? I would have to say my favorite song, hands down, is "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. It just makes me so excited and brings back so many great memories whenever I hear it - it will always put me in a great mood. I love, love, love that song!

Hope everyone had a good weekend! Until tomorrow! :)

Homecoming!

Go Raiders!! This week is homecoming. I won't be able to post a big post right now, but hopefully on Sunday I'll upload some pictures from the festivities. :) I went to the pep rally last night though and bought Brother's jersey, so I do have just a few pictures to post from that.
This one got a little blurry.

With the jersey that I spent my savings on haha:

It was fun, hopefully the Raiders pull off a win tonight against Roland-Story! I'll post more fun homecoming pictures!

Fall is here!

Happy Labor Day everyone! This weekend turned out to be beautiful weather and it was so nice that on Saturday I decided to get all the Fall decorations out. I was pretty excited and spent all afternoon cleaning and getting everything set up. I got out my Yankee Candle collection as well as a little scarecrow, and some pumpkins. Then I went to Ankeny to get a few more things that I have had my eye on, like a iron pumpkin with a place in the middle to put a candle and I also wanted to try making those Jack O'Lanters I posted in the previous post (That I saw on Kaylan's blog!). So I went to Michael's to get all the supplies and I came home and made one...

In the dark

In the light

It was actually pretty easy and a lot of fun! I can't wait to make more, and try out the different styles - I'll just have to find a place for all of them. :)

This weekend was a fun filled one. Friday night we went out with some friends and saw Eddie Money in concert - it was a lot of fun! Then we went out downtown and drank and just had a night out, it was well needed and a lot of fun. Saturday we didn't do too much - like I said I put out all the Fall decorations (still craving chili!) and Josh tinkered on the boat. It only got to around 75 degrees on Saturday so it was perfect out, just not boating weather or anything. So then Sunday we decided to take the boat out and man was it windy! We dropped in and it felt like we were in the ocean, so many BIG waves. We started heading out and the water kept splashing up onto the boat so Jill and Jordan and I decided to head under the closed bow to wait out the water splashes and it was definitely a ride under there!! We were tossed around all over the place under there - it was kind of scary for a while! Then we made it to a little cove and we all just sat around there and talked and lazed in the sun, it was actually really nice. Then we beat a storm home and ended up just staying in. Today we've been just as unproductive, I checked some papers and Josh has just been tinkering in and out of the house. So overall it has been a pretty nice, relaxing weekend. I'm ready for the short four day week!
